Blue Hawaii is the unerring blend of the tropics composed of rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and vodka, occasionally with its signature blue color, along with a maraschino cherry or a pineapple on top.
This drink from 1957 will make you relive the song Harley’s in Hawaii. That ravishing look and the tropical blue color, call you deep under the water. Its aqua vibe is here to serve you right! This drink is the closest reference that will make you feel like a part of the Elvis Presley movie “The Blue Hawaii”.
Ingredients:
20 ml light Rum
20 ml vodka
15 ml blue Curaçao
90 ml pineapple juice (unsweetened)
30 ml Sour Mix
Ice (crushed and solid)
Steps:
Start by adding vodka, light rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and sweet-and-sour mix into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass on crushed ice.
Garnish with sliced orange or pineapple to the rim of the glass to give it that tropical feel.
Pierce the maraschino cherry with a paper parasol (umbrella) while letting it sit freely on the glass.
